Pav Bhaji

Hi friends today i coming with Pav bhaji.Pav Bhaji is one of the most popular snacks in India.A mixture of various vegetable are boiled,mashed and cooked with spicy masala and serve with butter fried pav.Hear is the recipe:-


Onions - 3 cups ( finely chopped )
Tomatoes-3 cups (chopped)
Potatoes-1 cup (boiled and mashed)
Green Capsicum-1 cup (finely chopped)
Green Beans-1 cup (boiled and mashed)
Carrots-1 cup (boied and mashed)
Green Peas-1 cup(boiled and mashed)
Ginger/Garlic paste-3 tbsp
Pav Bhaji masala-3 to 4 tbsp
Turmeric powder-1 pinch
Salt to taste
Oil-2 tbsp
Ghee-2 tbsp

For Garnish-

Pav-1 packet
Lemon-1 no
Butter-1/2 tsp
Finely chopped onions-1/2 cup
Chopped coriander leaves-2 tsp


Wash and cut the all vegetable into small pieces.Cook all the vegetables (potato,peas,carrots,beans) in a pressure cooker,with one cup of water for 4 to 5 whishtles.when they're soft,mash the vergables well,in the liquid.

Heat a pan add oil and ghee to it.When oil is hot add ginger/garlic paste fry till they turn light brown.Then add chopped oinions fry till thay turn brown.

Now add capsicum pieces fry for 5 minutes and add chopped tomatos ,salt and turmeric powder mix well.
Cook until the tomato mashed.

Now add pav bhaji masala to it mix well. Now add cooked and mashed vegtables mixure and add some water.Mix all well.

Simmer till it becomes thick and stirring continuously.

Heat a Tawa.When the Tawa is hot add about a tsp of butter or ghee and fry each pices of Pav bread.Fry till golden and keep it in a serving plate.

Serve  the bhaji with some chopped onions,lemon wedges and coriander leaves on top.
