Spicy Pepper Chicken


Ingredients:-

Chicken-1/2 lb (diced into small cubes)
Onion-2 nos medium size(chopped finely)
Ginger/Garlic Paste-1 tbsp
Curry Leaves-few
Turmeric Powder-1/2 tsp
Pepper Powder-2 tbsp
Coriander Powder-1tsp
Garam Masala Powder-1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Cloves-2 nos
Bay leaves-3 nos
Cardamom-3 nos
Cinnamon-2 nos
Lime Juice-1 tsp (optional)
Oil-3 tbsp


Method:-
First cut chicken into small pieces.
 Marinate the chicken pieces with salt and turmeric powder,chili powder,ginger/garlic paste for 1/2 hour.
Heat oil in a wok.Once oil is hot add cloves,bay leaves,cardamom,cinnamon and dry till its change the color.
Now add the curry laves and chopped onions .Saute till the onion turns soft and brownish.
Add ginger/garlic paste and saute for a minute.
Now add pepper powder,coriander powder and garam masala powder.Saute for a minute and now add marinated chicken pieces.
Keep stirring this until the chicken is cooked completely.
It may take 20 to 25 minute .(Do not add water .So keep stirring).

Adjust the slat and pepper if required.
Finally add the lime juice and stir for a couple of minutes before turning off the heat.
Serve hot with rotis or rice...

Soya Chunks Curry


Ingredients:-

Nutrela Soya Chunks -1.5 cups
Potato-1 big (peel and cut into chunks or quarters)
Onion-1 big ( Chopped)
Ginger/Garlic Paste-2 tbsp
Tomato-2 big (chopped)
Cumin Seeds-1/4 tsp
Coriander Powder-1 tsp
Red chilli Powder -2 tsp
Turmeric Powder-1 tsp
Curry Masala Powder-1 tsp (any branded like chicken or veg masala powder )
Oil-3 to 5 tbsp
Coriander leaves -for garnishing


Method:-

Soak,soya chunks in water for one hour.Squeeze out all the water well and keep it aside.
Heat oil in a pressure cooker add cumin seeds, then add onions,little salt and fry on low heat till onions turns light brown in color.
Now add ginger / garlic paste and fry for a second .Then add the coriander powder,red chillies powder,turmeric powder and fry till the raw smell goes.
Now add tomato and fry till tomato is cooked and oil separates on low heat.
Then add potato chunks and fry for a second.Then add soya chunks and fry well for 5 minutes on low heat.Add more oil if necessary.
In another bowl bring 3 cups of water to a boil.
Pour this water to the cooker,stir,add salt to taste.Close the cooker and pressure cook for 2 to 3 whistles.
Once the cooker is cool down ,open the lid,place the cooker back on hat and add curry masala powder, simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
Then finally garnish with coriander lavs and serve hot with rice or roti.
