Veg Fried Rice From Tasty Apptite :Tried and Tasted
Hi Friends,
Today i tried and tasted recipe posted by one of my blog-pals Jay Tasty Appetite.She posted it last week in her blog and i loved it.
She has wonderful recipes with nice clicks and nice presentation in her blog.I followed her recipe exactly as she mentioned in the original recipe.It tasted very good.Visit her website for many more wonderful recipe.

Ingredients:-
Basmati Rice -2 cups
Onion-1 no (finely chopped)
Beans-1/2 cup (cut into small pieces)
Carrot-1/2 cup (cut into small pieces)
Cabbage-1/2 cup (cut into small pieces)
Capsicum-1/2 cup (cut into small pieces)
Green chillis-3 to 4 nos(slit into two)
Spring onion-1 no(chopped)
Grarlic -1 tsp(chopped)
Soya Sauce-2 tbsp
Vingar-1 tsp
Black Pepper Powder-1 tsp
Cashew-4 nos (optional)
Coriander lavs-few (chopped)
Ghee-1 tbsp
Oil-3 tbsp
Method:-
Wash th basmati rice and soak in enough water for 10 mins.Drain water from it completely using a stainer.
Take a heavy bottomed pan,and fry the rice with ghee in low flame for 5 minutes.
Now add water and little salt, cook it uncovered,until the rice is 75% cooked.
Take care, the rice should not b overcooked.Each grain of rice should be separate.
When rice is done, drain and add some cold water and drain again using a large sieve and keep it aside.
Take a pan,heat oil and saute green chillies,then all the veggies and cook it covered for 5 mins.
The vegetables should be cooked crisp and not overdone.
Now add the vinegar and soya sauce,mix well with the veggies.
Add salt accordingly,black pepper powder and finally the cooked rice.
Combine gently,so that the rice remains separate.
Close the pan and allow to stand for 5 mins.
Remove from flame.Granish with remaining spring onion ,freshely chopped coriander leaves.
Serve hot...
