Jeera Pulao

Hi Friends,

         Today i coming with Jeera Pulao.Its an unique and olden recipes.This recipe is from my mom.This recipe is very simple and easy to make.Best part is this taste is very delicious.



For this recipe u need:-
        
Ingredients:-

Basmati Rice-2 cups
Onions-2nos small (cut into slices)
Cumin Seeds-1/2 cup
Dry Red chillis-4 to 5 nos
Garlic pods- 10 nos
Bay leaves-3 nos
Cloves-2 nos
Cardamom -2 nos
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil-4 tbsp
Ghee-2 tbsp
Water-4 cups


Method:-

First cut the onion into slices.

For this rice we need to prepare the paste.Grind cumin seeds,red chillis and garlic and add little water and grind into paste.Keep it aside.
Heat oil and ghee in a kadai.When oil is hot add bay leaves,cloves,cardamom fry till the changes the  color.
 Now add the grind-ed  paste and fry it until the raw smell goes away and oil will separate,color will change.
Now add the  sliced onions and turmeric powder  fry for 5 minutes.
Now wash the rice and add the rice mix well and fry for 5 minutes.
Add this to the rice mixture and cook in a electric cooker or for 2 to 3 whistle in pressure cooker .
 or
Add water and salt mix well.Cook with lid closed.Bring the mixture to boil.
when the water starts to evaporate,keep in sim (low flame) and cook till the rice is soft.
 Once done,let it cook for 5 minutes.
Serve hot with curd or raita or yogurt.
