Ooresina Mamidikayalu / Thirst Quenching Mango Pieces
Hi Friends,
During this time of the season ( summer time) we used to get fresh raw mangos. My mom used to cut the raw mango into small pieces and marinate them with few spices. We used to eat them during the hot summer days to get away from thirstiness. They really taste good. Even you can marinate amla (Indian Gooseberry) in the same kind of water.
Ingredients:-
Raw green Mango-1 nos
Green chilis-4 to 5 nos (slit)
Turmeric powder-1 tsp
Red chillis-2 nos
Salt to taste
Water- 3 cups
Method:-
Wash and peel the mango and cut into strips.
Now take a big bowl add water to it.and now add green chillis, red chillis, turmeric powder and salt mix well.
.Now add mango pieces and mix it well.Cover the plate.
Keep it aside for 3 to 4 days and mix them twice a day.
After fourth day its ready to eat.
Note: Place the container with water in sun light if white layer is forming on top of the water.
