Kobbari Mitai (Coconut Burfi)
Hi friends,
I am not sure how many of you know this kind of sweet. In my part of india ( mostly in villages ) we used to buy this from street vendors , we can buy this with money or exchange with old utensils , cloths or iron scrap.
I saw lot of recipes for the same but all of them are doing with dry coconut powder.
Coconut -3 cups
Sugar-1 1/2 cup(acc to ur taste)
Ghee-4 tsp
Water-1 cup
Method:-
Wash and clean the coconut.Peel the coconut skin and cut it half length wise.
Boil sugar and water in a pan together on medium heat until syrup is 1 thread consistency. Add the cocount pieces and mix well.Boil it for 5 min.
Now add 1 tsp of ghee and mix well.Keep strirring till all the sugar syrup is absorbed by the coconut pieces. While this is hapening the colour of the cocount mixture also changes slightly.
Next spread the mix quickly to a plate greased with ghee. Spread it evenly beore the mix cools off.
Allow coconut burfi to cool and then break them into pieces.
Store it in airtight boxes.
Enjoy!!!
