Egg Biryani


Rice -4 cups (rice cooker cup for measuring)
Eggs-6 nos
Bay leaf-3 nos
Cloves-4 nos
Cinnamon stick-3 nos
Cardamon-4 nos
Star anise-1 no
Onion-2 nos (cut into sliced)
Tomato-1 no(cut small pieces)
Ginger/Garlic paste-2 tbsp
Mint leaves-few
Coriander leaves-gew
Turneric-1/2 tsp
Green chillies-4 nos(slit in the middle)
Chilli powder-1 tbsp
Corriander powder-2 tbsp
Garam masala powder-1/4 tbsp
Coconut milk-1  1/2 cups
Water-6 cups
Salt as needed
Colours- orange


Boil the eggs with a tsp of salt, shell the boiled eggs  and give four long cuts on the white portion of each egg without separting it.

After In a big heavy bottomed non stick pan por oil and ghee,add bay leaf,cinnamon stick,cardamon,cloves,flower,mint leaves,coriander leaves fry for 2 mins.

Now add green chillies,onions fry the onions until gloden brown and add ginger garlic paste fry until the raw smell goes away.

Now add rhe chilli powder,coriander powder and garam masla powder fry 2 mins, now add tomatoes fry till
it is mashed.

Now fry the eggs in this mixture for 2 mins and remove the eggs.

now add the rice fry 2 mins, now add the coconut milk and water ,salt as needed and let it boil.

Close the lid and keep the flame in low heat and cook till the rice is cooked.

Now add the boiled eggs and   food colours  cook again 10 mins and stir once and remove.

Tasty egg biryani is ready. Serve with raita.
