Ingredients :-
Wheat Flour-1 cup
Rice Flour-1 cup
Sugar-1 1/2 cup
Water-3 cup and 1/2 cup
Oil for Deep Frying
Stuffing:-
Grated Coconut - 1 cup
Sugar-1/4 cup
Little water
Dry Roasted Sesame Seeds Powder-1 cup How dry roast sesame seeds
Method:-
Stuffing:
Take a pan add grated coconut, sugar and little water mix well. Now start heating over medium heat.
In about 10 -12 minutes the mixture starts boiling and coconut starts sticking and color is going to change, till the water evaporates. Turn off the flame.Keep it aside.
Now mix the sesame seeds powder and coconut in a plate.Keep it aside.
For Dough:-
Take a thick bottomed pan add the wheat flour, rice flour, sugar, salt and water mix well without any lumps.
Now switch on the flame in low heat to make the dough.Mix continuously without stopping.(otherwise it sticks to the pan)
It should turn into a thick paste.you have to verify "with wet hand touch the paste,if it is not sticking then paste is ready".
Prepare the Kakra:-
Let the dough comes to room temperature.
Then apply little oil in your palms.Divide your dough into balls.
Take a dough ball in your hand.Flatten the ball make a deep depression in the middle make the dough into the shape of cup.
Now fill a tablespoon of the stuffing in your cups and seal it on all sides to make it back into a ball.
Now flatten the balls between your palms. The kakkaraalu should be little thick so that while frying them the stuff will not come out and remains as it is.Prepare the rest in the same way.
Now heat the oil for deep fry in medium flame.
when oil is hot add slowly drop the kakkaraalu one by one and fry in a lower flame till they turns golden brown both side.Remove from oil and drain them on a paper towel.
