Ingredients:-
Cooked Rice-3 cups (each grain should be separate,add a tsp of ghee to the rice and combine)
Capsicum -2 nos(cut into small cubes)
Oil/Ghee-3 tbsp
Garam masal powder-1 tsp
Salt to taste
Dry Roast and Grind:-
Mustard Seeds-1 tsp
Coriander Seeds-1 tbsp
Cumin Seeds-1 tsp
Black Gram Daal -1 tsp (minnapappu)
Dry Red chillies- nos (acc to ur taste)
Peanuts-3 tbsp
Curry leaves-12 nos
Method:-
Cook rice with grains separated.The ratio i use is 1 cup rice: 1.5 cups of water for pre-soaked rice for 30 minutes.Pressure cook it for 3 whistles in medium flame.Once pressure releases,open and fluff it with a fork.
Dry roast the ingredients listed under ' roast and grind' to golden brown and grind it to a slightly coarse powder.
Heat oil in pan add the capsicum and fry them for approx 3 minutes.Don't overcook them,let the capsicum retain their crunchy texture.Add salt to taste and combine well.
Reduce heat add ground masala powder mix well.The add the cooked rice combine with the rice till its well mixed.
Serve hot with any gravy curry of your choice or with pickle ,yogurt.
Looks yummy with masala.
