Poha Upma(Atukulu Upma)

Ingredients-:

Poha(atukulu)-1 cup  (rice cooker cup for measuring)
Potato-1 small size (finely chopped)
Onion-1 (finaly chopped)
Green chillis-4
Bay leaves-2 nos
Curry leaves-few
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Cumin-1/2 tsp
Urad dal-2 tsp
Chana dal-1 tsp
Peanuts-1 tsp
Red chillis-1 to 2 (acc to ur taste)
Hing-1 pinch
Turmeric-pinch
Salt to as needed
Oil-2tbsp
Lemon juice-1 tsp ( u like it u can add)

Method:-


Wash the poha and drain out the water.Keep covered for 10 minutes.It would become very soft.


Take a pan pour oil heat it,add channa dal and urad dal fry till it golden brown,when its turns golden remove in a plate ,keep it aside.

Take a pan pour oil heat it add mustard seeds when it splutters add cumin,bay leaves,peanuts  and red chillis,hing,green chillies,curry leaves turmeric powder and onions fry for 2 minutes.Add potatoes,salt and cook it 5 minutes.

Add 1/2 cup of water.Bring to boil.

Now add soaked poha,mix well cook for 5 mins.Now add fried channa dal and urad dal mix well.

Remove  from stove and add lemon juice and finely chopped coriander leaves. Mix and serve hot.

  13. This is my favorite kind of poha prep, but I also like adding tomatoes in it, but then I add tomatoes in anything and everything, lol :)
