Masala Vada / Channa Dal Vada

Ingredients:-

Channa dal-2 cup(soak in water for 3 hours)
Green chilies-8 to 9 nos(finely chopped)
Cumin seeds-2 tsp
Onions-2 nos(finely chopped)
Sod-1/2 tsp
Curry leaves-few
Salt to taste
Besan or Channa dal flour-1/2 cup
Oil for deep frying


Method:-


Wash and soak channa dal for 3 to 4 hours.And drain the water completely and keep it aside.

 Keep a fistful of channa dal on the side.Take the remaining dal in a blender or food processor or in mortar.Grind into coarsely mixture.Don't grind to smooth.Transfer the channa dal mixture  to a bowl.

Mix the whole channa dal to the coarsely grounded dal.

Now add chopped onions,green chillies,cumin seeds,curry leaves,soda,salt to it and mix well.
Take a small glof ball size vada batter and flatten them with ur palms,Add besan flour if the miture in not bonding.

Heat oil in a pan for frying.When oil is hot.


Drop gently to the hot oil and fry until they turns golden brown both side and crispy.

Drain the excess of oil with paper towel.

Serve hot with chutney or without chutney.....
