Ingredients:-
Mutton-1 lb (Cut into pieces)
Basmati Rice-2 cup
Mint leaves-1 bunch
Green Chillies-6 to 7 (acc to ur taste)
Onion-1 no big (sliced)
Ginger-Garlic paste-2 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Garam Masala powder-1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil-2 tbsp
Bay leaves-3 nos
Cloves-5 nos
Cinnamon-2 sticks
Cardamom-4 nos
Method:-
In a pressure cooker,on medium high heat add green chillies,mint leaves fry for 5 minutes.
Now add the mutton,turmeric powder,salt mix well.Now add 2 cups of water ,close the lid and let it pressure cook until the meat is 80% cooked.This can be tested by opening the lid and squeezing the mutton pieces with fingers,it should be just tender and not falling apart or soft.
Meanwhile ,wash the rice thoroughly and set aside.
Heat up oil in a pan,add the green chillies,cinnamon sticks,cardamom,cloves and bay leaves fry a 3 minutes.
Now add sliced onion saute till onion gets light golden color.
Add the ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minutes.
Add garam masala powder mix well.Now add the washed rice to the pan and saute for about 5 minutes.
Now add the rice mixture into cooker mix well the rice and mutton.Add salt and 2 cups of water combine well.Bring to boil.
Now close the lid cook the rice.(Don't put the whistle)Make sure in between u need it stir well.
Serve with rita.
