This is Chettinad Style prawns fry from our favorite blogger Adukala Vishesham chettinad style prawn fry.It was loved by all my friends .The have wonderful recipes and greats clicks...If you have never checked her blog before,you are surely missing something.I have used her recipes as it is,so please vist her blog and checkout the recipe.
Ingredients:-
Fresh Prawns-30 nos
Onions-1 nos (finely chopped)
Curry leaves-few
Red chillie powder-1 tsp
Garam masala powder-1/2 tsp
Chicken masala powder-2 tsp (optional)
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
For grinding:-
Fennel seeds-3 tsp
Grated coconut-1 tbsp
Tomato-1 nos (chopped)
Green chillies-3 to 4 nos
Ginger-small pieces
Garlic cloves-4 to 5 nos
Method:-
Clean the Prawns and marinate with add chillies powder,turmeric powder and salt mix well keep it aside for 30 mins.
Grind all the grinding ingredients to make a fine paste and keep it aside.
Heat some oil in a deep pan.
Saute the onions until golden color,add curry leaves.Now add the ground paste and saute well.
Once the raw flavor of the spices have worn off,add in the chilli powder,chicken masala,garam masala mix well and fry for 3 to 4 minutes.
Add the prawns and fry.Note that prawns get cooked fast and excess cooking might make them rubbery.Mix well and When prawns is cooked fry for 2 minutes.Switch of the flame.
Serve hot....
