Ingredients:-
Bottle Gourd-1no(peeled and cut into small pieces)
Sesame Seeds-1/2 cup
Red Chillies-3 nos
Tamarind Pulp-1/2 cup
Jaggery-1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Urad dal-1/2tsp
Hing-1/2 tsp
Curry Leaves-few
Salt to taste
Oil-4 tbsp
Method:-
Soak the tamarind in water. Squeeze the tamarind take out the pulp.
Peel the bottle gourd skin and remove the inside the seeds part and cut into into small pieces.
In the pan add sesame seeds and 1/2 cup of water mix well.
Heat pan dry roast the sesame seeds until light brown and cool them down before grinding in to powder.
Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan,add the mustard seeds,urad dal red chillies,hing, curry leaves after the seeds splutter add sorakaya pieces and turmeric powder,salt to mix well.
Cover the lid cook till its tender.
When the sorakaya is tender add the tamarind pulp and jaggery mix well.
When the tamarind pulp become thick
Finally add the sesame seeds powder mix it well.
Switch off the stove and serve with white rice.
