Minapa Rotti /Dibba Rotti (Spicy Idly Cake)


Ingredients:-


Whole Urad dal / Minapappu - 1 cup
Rice rava-1 cup
Red chillis-5 nos
Cumin seeds-2 tsp
Curry lavs-few
Hing-2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil-5 tbsp


Method:-
Rinse and soak urad dal in plenty of water for 2 hours.
Grind to smooth batter using little water.It should be the consistency of idly batter.
Soak rice rava in water for 1 hour.Squeeze and discard all the water from the rava.Mix the rava into the ground urad dal batter.Add salt mix well.
Now red chillis and cumin seeds make into smooth paste in mixer.Keep it aside.
Heat 4 to 5 tbsp of oil in a deep pan.When oil is hot add hing,curry leaves,fry for 1 minutes and immediately 

pour this into on red chilli paste in the batter.Mix the batter well.
Now place the pan and pour 1 tsp of oil and when its hot pour this batter in the pan.
Cover and cook on low flame till the crust turns golden brown and crispy on the edges.
When its cooked and flip over on the other side,cook it uncovered on low flame for another 5 minutes.Turn off the flame.Cut into slices and serve with any chutney or curd or with out anything.
